Tovah Wolf, PhD, MS, RDN, LDN
With the hyper-convenience of modern life, many of us neglect our health.
I have been there so I understand.
Hi! My name is Tovah - below is a brief summary of my background and why I am excited to work with you!
My interest in nutrition started early in life while gardening under the guidance of my Mother. It was not until I took a career interest test during my sophomore year of college that led me to job shadow a Clinical Dietitian. During that job shadow, I had the “Ah Ha” moment of what I wanted to do the rest of my life - empower others to learn about the link between diet and their health.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Dietetics from the University of North Dakota. I then worked as a Clinical Dietitian in the DC-metro area for a few years before deciding to pursue a graduate degree in what I learned I am most passionate about - the role of nutrition in chronic disease prevention and treatment. After gaining clinical, industry and community nutrition professional experience, I pursued graduate school and received a:
- MS in Nutrition Sciences, thesis: https://bit.ly/3hIwhu6 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My thesis work was focused on the transport kinetics of bovine milk microRNA containing extracellular vesicles in 2 cell lines.
- PhD in Nutritional Sciences, dissertation: https://bit.ly/3lDsRtW from Iowa State University.
My dissertation work was focused on nutritional and behavioral neuroscience approaches for chronic disease prevention.
Most recently, in addition to owning my own business, I serve as the lead policy volunteer position for the Columbus Ohio Academy of Nutrition Dietetics.
When I am not working, you can usually find me gardening and landscaping while baby wearing our daughter (I am hoping she inherits my green thumb). I can also be found being a sous chef for my amazing husband, baking, exploring new places, relaxing with our aged pets, and spending time with family and friends.
